Jorge Campos
Of Counsel. Jorge is a New York- and Mexico-qualified lawyer with over twenty years of experience in advising clients on US and cross-border transactions. He originally received his law degree and a masters in Labor Law from the Universidad Tecnólogia de México in Mexico City. He then broadened his horizons with an LLM from Fordham University in 2006, with an emphasis on Information Technology and Intellectual Property, and an MBA from Thunderbird, the School of Global Management in Arizona.
Prior to moving to the US, Jorge worked with the legal and labor offices of Grupo ICA, Mexico’s biggest construction and infrastructure company, and with PricewaterhouseCoopers in their Mexico City office, where he helped to navigate corporate and tax challenges for international clients.
In the US, his legal expertise has focused on capital markets, securities regulations, corporate governance, and SEC reporting. He’s equally at home working on private equity deals, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, international public offerings, multinational due diligence, emerging market solutions, and international commercial agreements. Jorge’s recent work has included corporate finance transactions for U.S. and foreign companies, both public and private, as well as global broker-dealers and international institutional investors.
With his international credentials, background, and fluency in both English and Spanish, Jorge brings a unique perspective to the table, bridging the gap between the distinct legal and business cultures of the US and Latin America.
